Wellness & Leadership Retreat for BIPOC Girls Join us for a powerful day of connection, growth, and self-care at our Wellness & Leadership Retreat. This free, full-day experience is designed to empower young women through meaningful conversations, wellness activities, and leadership development in a supportive and inspiring environment. 📍 Location: Kingbridge Centre 12750 Jane St, King City 🗓 Date: July 18 ⏰ Time: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM 🚌 Transportation Provided Pick-up and drop-off will take place at: York University Subway Station 120 Ian MacDonald Blvd Departure: 8:30 AM sharp What to Expect Hot breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided throughout the day Communal break stations with coffee, tea, and refreshments Interactive wellness and leadership sessions A curated “Glow Up Kit” (your personal retreat essentials bag!) Youth Justice Lab

The Justice Lab Program is a 6-week interactive learning experience designed for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) youth aged 13–26 who are interested in exploring careers and issues related to law, justice, and advocacy. Through engaging workshops, discussions, and hands-on activities, participants will gain insight into how legal systems work and how they impact individuals and communities especially those from historically marginalized backgrounds. Throughout the program, participants will: Learn the basics of law and legal systems (e.g., rights, courts, and justice processes) Explore real-world issues such as equity, discrimination, and access to justice Build critical thinking, public speaking, and advocacy skills Participate in interactive activities such as case studies, debates, and mock scenarios Connect with mentors, guest speakers, and professionals in law-related fields Collaborate with peers and develop a stronger sense of community leadership Visit a courthouse or city hall Mentorship This program aims to empower youth to better understand their rights, amplify their voices, and consider future pathways in law, social justice, and community advocacy. Program Details: Duration: 6 weeks Start: End of April / Early May (exact schedule to be confirmed) Location: To be announced Cost: Free Those who complete the program will join the graduation and receive a certificate of completion (All sessions are mandatory).
